We never dreamed that we'd end up needing to wear face masks and I never dreamed I'd end up making them for people. I don't want to get in to how devastating this pandemic has been because we're all dealing with it in our own way.

.

When people first started buying my masks, I thought why not also raise money for some of the most vulnerable people in society right now - our beloved elderly. I was inspired by my own grandmother and how lovely she was to all of the elderly in her own community, and my mum who is so good and caring to the elderly too. So I connected with Alone and from the sales of my masks and a little marketing from them we ended up raising 700 euros!

.

Honestly it's been so hard working around the clock all alone in lockdown. But today, when I sent the money to Alone, I realised everything has been worth it.

.

Thank you so so so much for continuing to buy my masks - we managed this amazing feat together!

Here's a little bit about this beautiful charity:

.

ALONE is a charity organization in Ireland which was set-up to highlight the issues facing older people living alone. The charity seeks to help elderly people living on their own who may feel isolated and lonely, and to "connect [them] with the necessary support services in their community". The name ALONE in an acronym of the words "A Little Offering Never Ends".

.

ALONE states that it "works with the 1 in 5 older people who are homeless, socially isolated, living in deprivation or in crisis". The charity provides supportive housing, "befriending" services, community response and campaigning services to older people.
